What's Vata-Kapha like?

Your bones are probably moderately-sized and your muscles are likely lean. You're probably on the tall or short side, and your weight may tend to oscillate. 

Your skin probably isn't too oily or too dry - it's just right. You complexion isn't too dark or too fair, but right in the middle for your race and ethnicity. Your body is usually cool. You love the sun and warmer weather.

You are likely loving, patient, kind and sensitive. You are always full of new ideas. Your boundless creativity is balanced by your calm and steady demeanor. You can be easily distracted, but when you have a passion for something - you go at it with full gusto! You tend to swing between lounging all day and being on the go nonstop.

Vata and Kapha are opposite in many ways. While the opposing qualities of Vata and Kapha can balance each other out, their conflicting needs and tendencies can also be challenging to navigate. 

Your appetite is rarely ravenous, but you love to eat. You likely reach for food to ground and comfort you - whether you're hungry or not. Your digestion is likely as sensitive as you are. It may tend toward gas, bloating and constipation or it may become sluggish when you eat heavy foods like wheat, dairy and sugar. 

You love to cuddle up with a loved one and lots of covers to stay warm.

How can you stay balanced?

1. Enjoy your food and drinks served warm.

2. Avoid mindless snacking.

3. Keep warm. Both Vata and Kapha are cold. Dress in layers and wear a scarf in cold, windy weather.
