When I first encountered Ayurveda in 2001, I was struggling with chronic health issues, convinced I would be dependent on Western medicine and prescription drugs for life.
With a few small, simple changes & a budding awareness of my body, I experienced tremendous healing and a sense of freedom and empowerment.
I committed to studying Ayurveda so that I could enable others to discover this kind of relief.
Since then I’ve worked with tons of folks to optimize their health.
I am an Ayurvedic educator, consultant and health coach. I am a registered Ayurvedic Practitioner with the National Ayurvedic Medical Association and a registered Ayurvedic Food and Nutrition Consultant with the Association of Ayurvedic Professionals of North America.
I completed my initial Ayurvedic training with Dr. Vasant Lad at The Ayurvedic Institute. I went on to study Ayurvedic nutrition with Amadea Morningstar and hormonal health with Dr. Claudia Welch. I study with several Ayurvedic doctors in India. I also have a background in Western herbalism and energy healing and am a certified yoga teacher.
Aside from seeing clients in private practice and offering workshops in my community, I spent five years running several online Ayurveda certification programs; overseeing the development, curriculum and implementation of the programs as well as teaching in them.
I graduated with honors from Rutgers University with a double major in Sociology and Human Ecology. I spent years working in social services and mental health, supporting people in helping themselves.
Now I teach folks how to develop a deeper awareness of their bodies and remedies to effectively resolve their imbalances. I support clients in gradually making small shifts, so that changes are sustainable and lead to powerful transformation.
My Ayurveda center in NJ offers all of our services virtually - enabling me to serve clients around the country and world.
